Deploy your bot on any website through Google Tag Manager (GTM) — no direct access to the site's source code required. Access the setup instructions by navigating to the Share tab in your bot's dashboard and selecting the Google Tag Manager option under the Analytics category.
Create the Tag
- On your GTM account dashboard, click Add a new tag
- Choose the Custom HTML tag type
- Check Support document.write
- Paste the embed code for your preferred embed type (see below)
- Set the tag to fire on the pages where the bot should appear, then Publish your GTM container
Embed Types
Standard
Paste the script into the Custom HTML tag:
<script type="module">
import Bot from "https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/@inditeai/js@0/dist/web.js";
Bot.initStandard({
bot: "my-bot",
});
</script>Then add a container element on your web page where the bot should render:
<bot-standard style="width: 100%; height: 600px;"></bot-standard>Popup
The popup opens in an overlay above your website's content — no container element needed:
<script type="module">
import Bot from "https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/@inditeai/js@0/dist/web.js";
Bot.initPopup({
bot: "my-bot",
autoShowDelay: 3000,
});
</script>Bubble
The bubble adds a floating chat button, typically in the bottom-right corner of your site:
<script type="module">
import Bot from "https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/@inditeai/js@0/dist/web.js";
Bot.initBubble({
bot: "my-bot",
});
</script>Ensure the bot parameter matches your bot's unique ID, available in the Share tab. For all configuration options (theme, preview messages, prefilled variables), see the HTML & JavaScript guide.
GTM loads tags asynchronously and some consent-management setups can delay or block Custom HTML tags. If the bot doesn't appear, verify the tag fired using GTM's Preview mode.
