The Global tab configures overarching visual elements: branding, the progress bar, font, and background.
Indite Branding
A switch at the top of the tab controls whether the "Made with Indite" branding is shown on your bot. Removing it requires a plan with branding removal included — attempting to disable it without that plan opens an upgrade prompt.
Progress Bar
The Progress Bar visually indicates a user's progress through the bot. Toggle Enable Progress Bar to activate it, then configure:
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Placement | Top or Bottom |
| Background Color | Color of the bar's track |
| Color | Color of the progress indicator itself |
| Thickness | Height of the bar, in pixels (default 4) |
| Position When Embedded | fixed or absolute (see below) |
Position When Embedded
fixed— pins the bar to the top of the browser window; stays visible even as the chat container scrolls.absolute— positions the bar at the top of the embedded chat container; scrolls with the chat.
Font
Choose between two mutually exclusive font sources:
- Google — pick from a dropdown of the 50 most popular Google Fonts.
- Custom — specify a font-family name and provide raw CSS with an
@font-facedeclaration.
Importing a Custom Font
-
Font Family — the font stack, primary font first, with fallbacks separated by commas:
"Awesome Font", "Helvetica Neue", sans-serifQuote any font name containing spaces. If the primary font is unavailable, the browser falls back to the next name in the list.
-
CSS Definition — the
@font-facerule that loads your font:@font-face { font-family: 'Awesome Font'; src: url('https://example.com/awesome.woff') format('woff'), url('https://example.com/awesome.ttf') format('truetype'); }
The server hosting your font files must support HTTPS and CORS for the font to load correctly.
Background
Choose one of three mutually exclusive background types:
- None — no background styling applied.
- Color — a solid background color.
- Image — upload an image to use as the background.
