Deploy your bot as a Telegram bot. Users chat with it directly in Telegram, and your flow runs behind the scenes. Access the setup by navigating to the Share tab in your bot's dashboard and selecting the Telegram option under the Messaging category.
The Telegram integration requires a Starter plan or higher.
Create a Telegram Bot
- In Telegram, open @BotFather (opens in a new tab)
- Send
/newbotand follow the prompts to name your bot - Copy the bot token BotFather gives you (it looks like
123456789:ABC-DEF...)
Connect It to Indite
- In the Share tab, open the Telegram dialog
- Paste your bot token and click Validate — Indite verifies the token against the Telegram API
- Optionally expand Configure integration:
- Session expire timeout — hours (0–48) of user inactivity after which the conversation restarts on the next message
- Start bot condition — comparisons that must match before the bot engages, combined with AND/OR
- Turn on Enable telegram integration — Indite registers its webhook with Telegram automatically
- Publish your bot
- Click Try it out to open your bot in Telegram and test the conversation

Disabling the integration removes the Telegram webhook — messages to your Telegram bot will no longer reach your flow until you enable it again.
